James Metoyer is the Executive Director at EnerCity Collaborative (ECC), which is a nonprofit that works to ensure the financial, environmental, and health benefits of a clean energy economy are fully realized in BIPOC, underserved, and frontline communities. ECC collaborates with community-based organizations, nonprofits, youth, and adult construction training programs to help professionals navigate careers into the clean energy workforce while working to ensure BIPOC communities have equitable access to healthy, sustainable and energy-efficient housing.
He brings over 13 years of work experience in the energy efficiency industry and has earned several industry-recognized credentials including BPI, HERS Rater, and LEED Green Rater. James is a collaborator and relationship builder that meets organizations where they are to assist them in delivering culturally relevant clean energy workforce training for professionals entering the trades. James also works with these organizations to "bridge the gap'' for professionals to employment after graduation by offering mentorship and career coaching on pathways into the energy efficiency industry.
